Breathwork Facilitator

Learn to guide breathwork experiences grounded in nervous system awareness, safety, and ethical facilitation.

An Introduction to SBT-40

Somatic Breathwork Training (SBT-40)

Somatic Breathwork Training (SBT-40) is a 40-hour professional program for therapists, coaches, and facilitators who want to guide breathwork experiences with confidence, safety, and nervous system awareness. This training goes beyond talk-based approaches—working with the body, breath, and regulation so you can hold space ethically and effectively. It blends live online instruction with in-person immersion, giving you the structure, embodied skill, and practical experience you need to lead others

Training Format & Timeline

SBT-40 unfolds across four phases over approximately 12 weeks.
Live online sessions include replay access. All times are EST.

Phase One

Orientation & Embodiment (Online)

September 19–20
10:00am - 3:00pm

Two full-day live online sessions, plus self-paced review between classes.

  • Phase One focuses on developing a grounded relationship with your own body and nervous system. Rather than pushing for change, the emphasis is on increasing your ability to stay present, regulate under intensity, and hold emotional space with steadiness. Through guided breathwork and somatic inquiry, participants build confidence that is felt and embodied — not performed. This phase establishes the internal capacity required for responsible facilitation.

Phase Two

Theory & Facilitation Skills (Online)

September 22, 24, 29
7:00pm - 9:00pm

Evening live online sessions focused on theory, facilitation skills, and guided practice.

  • Phase Two deepens your technical and theoretical understanding of somatic breathwork. Participants explore foundational breath patterns, nervous system concepts, and polyvagal-informed principles, while learning how to guide sessions with safety, clarity, and attunement. Emphasis is placed on vocal tone, pacing, and the intentional use of music to support regulation and containment throughout a session.

Phase Three

In-Person Immersion (Toronto)

October 3, 4
7:00pm - 9:00pm

Two full days of in-person mentorship, somatic breathwork practice, and applied learning.

  • Phase Three focuses on applying what you’ve learned in supported, real-world contexts. Participants lead guided partner sessions and work with case studies while receiving detailed feedback on facilitation, pacing, and presence. The emphasis is on building confidence holding space responsibly — staying attuned to nervous system responses and supporting emotional processes without forcing outcomes.

Phase Four

Supervised Practice & Integration

October 5 - November 22
Flexible Schedule

November 28
1:00pm–6:00pm · Live Online

Guided practice with real-life clients, case studies, and integration support, concluding with a final mentorship and completion call.

  • Phase Four is designed to support the transition from learning to real-world application. Participants engage in guided practice with real clients on their own time while completing case studies that emphasize reflection, nervous system awareness, and ethical facilitation. Final submissions due November 22nd.

Meet Your Mentor

Eddy Tony

Somatic and body-based practices are no longer fringe. They’re becoming essential — not as ideas, but as practical ways of supporting regulation, resilience, and presence in a world that places increasing demands on the nervous system.

This work begins in the body. That’s where lasting change happens.

Eddy Tony has been immersed in healing and somatic practices for over a decade, long before breathwork became widely visible. What he teaches isn’t conceptual or technique-driven — it’s embodied, shaped through years of lived practice, formal training, and integration.

Through SBT-40, Eddy works primarily with therapists, coaches, and facilitators who carry real responsibility for others. The training draws from a range of influences, including Vipassana meditation, Thai monastic traditions, yoga, vision quests, and modern nervous system science. More importantly, it emphasizes presence, discernment, and the ability to hold space with clarity and care.

This training is for those who want to deepen their capacity to stay present under pressure, guide responsibly, and work with the nervous system in a grounded, ethical way. It’s less about acquiring more techniques — and more about becoming someone others can trust to hold.
